Bourland Family Photos

The Bourlands wanted some great family photos together and so I was fortunate came to me - here's what we got - can you imagine they were pretty excited with them - I only know cause they told me so!

Jaime is a firefighter and he met Erin waiting in line at a subway. it was all she wrote after that - here's some great images we got of them and their wedding experience. check out the fire engine that Jamie's co-workers brought up for a cameo in the photos. we even got them to turn on the high pressure water.. such fun to work with we weren't even bothered by a bit of rain that delayed some of our shooting.

when daddy's in charge - this is what happens

I'm not going so far as to say that this stuff only goes on when daddy is in charge! It's just that in our household it's definitely safe to say its WAY more likely to happen when daddy is left in charge. that's all i'm saying...

this was avalonne's brain child - she came running out in leighton's "nite time clothes" - and that got her to thinking what would happen if Leighton wore hers! I then began to wonder the same so we dressed him up. he resisted at first.. but then began to get into it. i wasnt' really worried until it came time to get on his PHX SUNS jersey and basketball shorts that he ran from me struting his stuff and saying "nope" when I asked him to take off the princess dress.

Daddy's take the kids to the Desert Museum

the cats are away... the mice will play ! - isn't that the saying? except in this case the cats are our wives... and the mice are the daddy's with the kids. Heidi and Brooke Puente were away this weekend at a women's retreat for our church. Nick and I had planned long ago that we'd take the kids to the Desert Meseum saturday morning. This was a first visit for my kids. The DM is about 14 miles exactly west of downtown Tucson Arizona - over and behind the Tucson Mountain Range in the lush sonoran desert. I've posted a few photos of the current state of the wild desert between downtown and the DM. It was a beautiful morning - 75 degrees at start and 90 by the end around 11:00am. Desert Meseum is very different than the zoo. Here we saw Lobos (spanish for wolf), Coyote's, snakes, beavers and crazy desert animals in their natural habitats. Much to my surprise the kids LOVED it. We'll definitely be going back.
